I won't do a long review, but the show was awesome. I think tonight's audience was one of the best yet. Until tonight I was leaning towards giving Pittsburgh the honor, with no home state prejudice, but New Hampshire did good. I started in the front row, far right, but for the first time ever I jumped seats at intermission since there were 4 empty seats to my left, very near the center.
I will mention that Máiréad was hurting and toned down her performance a little. She was still pumped up enough that anyone who had never seen her perform live before would never have known the difference.
My only complaint about the whole night (other than the weather) was the parking fees. For a comparatively small town, Manchester charges $20 (!) for parking "downtown." Pittsburgh was $14 and Wilkes-Barre was only $5. Both are bigger cities than Manchester. I certainly hope they use some of that money to fix the roads. Pennsylvania has a reputation for having bad roads, but some of the streets in downtown Manchester have more potholes than road! A little money spent repainting the lines on the roads wouldn't be a bad thing either. OK, enough picking on New Hampshire. Tomorrow Connecticut, then home.
