Summer 2007

I discovered Celtic Woman almost too late to see them live during their Spring 2007 tour.  When I first saw them on PBS I didn’t even know that they performed live.  It wasn’t until I discovered the Celtic Woman forum that I learned they were touring.  In fact, they had been in Baltimore, MD, (less than an hour from me) in February and I didn’t even know it!  I vowed to see them live as they concluded their tour in Philadelphia and Wolf Trap.  The reviews that I’d read on the forum all indicated that it would be a truly amazing experience.

Well, I got my wish; I went to both concerts.  I initially had a third row orchestra left at the Mann Center in Philadelphia and a center box seat at Wolf Trap.  I learned, though, that it pays to keep checking the venue’s ticket availability.  I really wanted a better seat at Wolf Trap and I was sorely tempted to buy one from a ticket broker.  Unfortunately, they were only available in pairs so I kept putting it off.  However, in the last day or so before the show prices had been dropping and I was about 99% sure I was going to do it.  But I hadn't given up and was continuing to check the official Wolf Trap site.  Three days before the show an orchestra pit seat showed up; front row (AAA) seat 13.  And since the seats number from 1 to 28, that's dead center!  I don't think I've never typed so fast in my life  To say I was excited would have been the understatement of the century.

Both shows more than lived up to their advance billing and, especially Wolf Trap, were the best concerts that I had ever attended.  I was now hooked and I was ready this time when the fall tour was announced!
